Temporary Signs Face Court Ruling
The International Sign Association issued a press release last week regarding a temporary signage ruling from the courts. It all started when a church used temporary signs to let church attendees know where the service would be held. Signs that are larger are allowed to be displayed longer. So, the court system has stepped in – and finding that there is a first amendment right at stake here!
The Signage Foundation Inc. created a guide to help people understand temporary signage laws that vary based on different factors. You can find the guide here: “Best Practices in Regulating Temporary Signs”
