San Juan Oaks
Golf Club
The renovation of San Juan Oaks Golf Club presented an opportunity to reimagine the course and facility's exterior and interior signage.
The project, spearheaded by New Direction Sign Services, a BLR company, involved a comprehensive design and build process, where 155 signs were fabricated and installed throughout the golf course and facility. Collaborating closely with Terry Secor from Third Millennium Partners, NDSS was able to translate a basic idea of a logo and color scheme into a cohesive and impactful signage system.

Key elements of the project included:
• Code Signs: Designed to convey essential information in a clear and concise manner.
• Monument Graphics: Large, prominent signs that serve as focal points at key locations around the course and facility.
• Golf Hole Identifiers: Custom signs that mark each hole, incorporating the new branding and color scheme.
• Illuminated Wayfinding: Lighted signs that guide visitors around the course and facility, ensuring easy navigation even after dark.
• Interior Banner Flags: Decorative banners that enhance the interior atmosphere and reflect the course’s branding.
• Custom Impact Logos: Unique logos developed to make a strong visual impact, reinforcing the brand identity.
• Decorative Blade Signs: Stylish, protruding signs used for both wayfinding and decoration.
• Bocce Ball Scoreboards: Custom-designed scoreboards for the bocce ball area, blending functionality with the new branding.
• Decorative Room IDs: Signage that identifies rooms within the facility, designed to match the overall aesthetic.
• Window Graphics: Customized graphics applied to windows, adding to the visual cohesion of the space.
The project was a success, largely due to the strong communication and collaboration with Terry, who played a crucial role as the lead. The team at NDSS is now looking forward to their next project in Hollister, building on the experience and success gained from San Juan Oaks.
