LED Digital Signs Upgrade City of Milpitas, California
The city of Milpitas California needed to upgrade their large, 12’ wide by 3’ high, LED digital sign at their City Hall from a 20 mm monochrome unit to a new screen that could better represent their use of technology, considering City Hall sits on a main thoroughfare to the headquarters of many major Silicon Valley companies. BLR Visual Communications recommended that an 8 mm digital sign from Watchfire be installed in the existing monument sign body after refurbishing it and adding new laser cut aluminum lettering fabricated by Gemini Sign Products. The resolution available on an 8 mm screen will allow the city to display not only text and graphics but video content using Watchfire’s proprietary Ignite software.
