Ease Workplace Anxiety
As you consider re-opening to the public, it will be of great importance to ensure you ease workplace anxiety for employees. Remember that your employees are scared. They need reassurance that you were doing everything within your power to keep them safe from COVID-19. Some of the steps that you can take were outlined in the previous blog post, Enable a Smart Workplace. In that blog we discussed some overall things that y’all want to do prior to opening the doors.
Communicating everything you’ve done to protect your employees will be vital to easing their anxiety. Not only is it important to communicate via email and speaking with your employees directly about the efforts that have been taken to minimize risk in the building, you can also provide signage to communicate as well. Signage will act as a consistent device for communicating that the workplace is safe and taking precautions. Simple things such as signs that report whether or not a space has been cleaned or used by somebody else can be utilized. Additionally, you’ll want to use signs to remind people to
- Cover your mouth when you sneeze
- Maintain 6 feet of social distancing
- Wash your hands often
- Directional signs that indicate which direction to walk down an aisle
The list of signage possibilities is endless. Let BLR Visual Communications help you navigate re-opening.
